Roles & Responsibilities:


Key responsibilities will include the following: -

•  Individually handle research projects across industries and regions

•  Understand client requirements, design research scope, and build logical structure of research output

•  Provide comprehensive project brief to Consultants and work with them to accomplish bigger research projects

•  Advise on research methodologies and oversee consultants in secondary research (at times primary research) to solve specific client issues / questions

•  Use strategic tools to analyze findings and generate insights

•  Build recommendations / conclusions for the project

•  Present findings in comprehensive power point, word, or excel formats

•  Ensure high quality project deliverables

•  Provide constructive feedback to consultants / team members

•  Continuously seek feedback from Team lead, Manager, and Clients to further improve on deliverables

•  Assist manager in recruitment, training new recruits and business development initiatives



•  The goals for the position are organised around three key themes. Each theme has clear result areas:

-    Delivery - Overall quality of the output in terms of insights, logical structure, visualization/lay-out, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness

-    People development – Coaching / mentoring of resources and sharing of knowledge with others

-    Behaviour – Adherence to processes, team work, contribution to team initiatives, etc.



Must Haves            

•  Degree – MBA from a leading Indian / International B-school; or similar advanced degree

•  Expertise – Business research / consulting experience

•  Experience – 4-6 years

•  Experience in industry analysis, in-depth company analysis, benchmarking, financial modelling, point of views, competitive intelligence, strategy formulation etc.

•  Excellent analytical skills and a strong sense for structure and logic

•  Ability to build business cases and models and comfort with financial analysis

•  Ability and willingness to work on short deadlines

•  Ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects at a time

•  Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to coach others in a team

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•  Expertise in MS office - Excel, Word & Power Point documents

•  Acquainted with databases such as Factiva, Bloomberg, Onesource, Thomson, et al


•  Sector expertise (Retail, Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Energy, Chemicals, Telecom, IT/ITeS, Pharmaceutical etc)

•  Management principles and their use

•  Excellent awareness of cross-cultural working relationships

•  One or more foreign language proficiency would be an advantage
