Job Description:


We are looking to hire candidates with experience in Equity Research for Mumbai location.

Specification / Skills / Experience


  • Evaluate various business, financial and operational aspects of companies through in-depth study of periodic filings, regulatory updates, press releases and industry news
  • Prepare requisite material for management meetings and independently conduct such meetings to gain insights
  • Prepare equity research notes and publish the same within the assigned deadline
  • Prepare industry research reports and whitepapers based on detailed analysis of demand-supply dynamics, competition, growth drivers, trends and challenges
  • Prepare detailed financial models by identifying key revenue, cost and balance sheet drivers and forecasting them to arrive at intrinsic stock value using different valuation methodologies
  • Efficiently cater to time-sensitive client requests on providing M&A analysis, preparing pitch books/information memorandum, newsletters, etc.
  • Contribute towards preparing marketing collaterals and launching new product offerings
  • Take complete ownership of all the research assignments entrusted and work closely with rest of the team
  • Ensure quality output devoid of any factual, grammatical, numerical or formatting errors
  • Articulate thoughts clearly and coherently
  • Professional conduct and adherence to company policies and team goals


Location: Mumbai

Experience: 3 to 6 yrs


Primary Skills:

  • Past experience (2-4 years) in equity / industry research across varied sectors / geographies – background in writing initiating coverage reports at leading KPOs would be given preference
  • Post graduate degree in Finance (PGDM/MMS/MBA/CA/ICWA/ICFAI)
  • Completion or any development towards completion of the CFA® (USA) certification is preferable
  • Ability to bring out research insights and convey ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • In-depth understanding of financial statements – Income statement, Balance sheet & Cash flow statement and the accounting relation between them
  • Detailed understanding of notes to accounts
  • Ability to build complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptions
  • Knowledge of fundamental and relative valuation methodologies
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Well conversant with financial databases like Bloomberg, Capital IQ and ThomsonOne
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
