Lead Engineer - DB2 UDB DBA

Desired candidate profile The candidate should have minimum experience of 4 years. Applicant must have working experience on Application Development teams to co-ordinate and deploy and implement SRMs (Service requests) on multiple UDB databases. Good experience on Capacity planning of an OLTP and OLAP based environments. Hands-on troubleshooting and maintaining Guardium in UDB environments (IBM product). Mandatory Documents: Able to Perform Installations, Upgrades & Fix Packs on DB2 UDB databases. Assembling and coordinating project staff including on site resources and outsourced resources Support for Hardware Software Upgrade (HSR) involving AIX, Storage and UDB Upgrades at the same time. Remediate all support issues by conducting the Root cause analysis and establish a process to fix the gaps. Building complex very large multi-terabyte UDB databases to industry standard with approved disaster recovery solutions like HADR and SRDF. Help the team to Perform Installations, Upgrades, Fix Packs, Trouble Shooting, Maintenance, Monitoring, and Performance Tuning on multi-terabyte DB2 UDB databases. Demonstrate aptitude towards root cause analysis, problem identification and resolution of day-to-day issues. Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders Handling ITIL Methodologies like Change, Incident, Problem, Service Management using BMC Remedy Guide the team to Implement and Maintain High Availability as part of DR strategies like Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, Replication, and Mirroring.
