We are looking to hire Legal Counsel - Intellectual Property Right with 6 – 9 years of exp in Mumbai location

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perfect written and verbal English (Proficiency) is a must; Fluent in French is preferred
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to handle pressure, understand the importance of deadlines and handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel; familiar with the most updated tools for creating trainings (Prezi or similar) is desirable; advanced presentation skills
  • Business oriented is a must
  • Creative, proactive problem solver and able to think laterally
  • Autonomous
  • Willing to travel
  • Strong personality and the ability to be persuasive and relentless in reinforcing the best interests of the company are essential
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong transactional and technology licensing experience
  • The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
  • Proactive, well-organized and team working spirit
  • Used to working in distance (skype, telephone, conference call)

Experience: 6 - 9 years

Primary Skills (Must have)

  • He/she will be part of the Group Legal Department with headquarter in Paris (France) responsible for providing legal advice and counsel for specific areas of business, mainly regarding intellectual property law.
  • He/she will assume the following key responsibilities:
  • To review, draft and negotiate contracts, T&C and ToU, focus on the IP aspects
  • To draft templates, policies, guidelines and procedures regarding IP
  • To assess technical solutions to clarify the ownership of them
  • To advice the business team regarding Open Source issues
  • To prepare files for patents, copyrights and trademarks
  • To keep update the legal talent webpage
  • To prepare and coordinate monthly calls and initiatives with the global IP team
  • To coordinate with outside counsels
  • To coordinate the different tools of the IP department
  • To prepare appropriate documentation and legal actions regarding IP infringements by third parties
  • To update department reports, database systems and other administrative tasks
  • To research legal issues affecting the information technology field and mainly the IP world
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
