Role: Microsoft Technologies Practice Lead

Total Experience: Minimum 15 years

Location: Mumbai/Bangalore

Job Responsibilities  

  • The Microsoft Technologies Practice Leader will be responsible for managing an existing large team of robust and well-trained SharePoint/Appdev professionals and further building and growing the practice. This position interfaces with numerous stakeholders and is client-facing and involves everything from pre-sales, team building to delivery.
  • Lead and support the pre-sales, implementation, management and maintenance of Microsoft Solution offerings across the globe.
  • Build relationships with end clients and engage with them to identify and analyze potential opportunities for delivering Microsoft Solutions.
  • Work with company leaders to develop long term vision, technology roadmap, and annual goals for the Microsoft Technology Practice.
  • Build a comprehensive portfolio of advanced cloud and digital services based on Azure, Sharepoint, Dynamics, Exchange, Office 365, Sitecore and other Microsoft technologies.
  • Develop intellectual property, including methodologies, solutions, accelerators and tools to enable the practice to be the vendor of choice for customers across industry verticals.
  • Effectively leverage the strategic partnership and alliance with Microsoft; build collaborative ecosystem partnerships with leading 3rd party vendors and Microsoft technology partners.
  • Manage activities of the Microsoft innovation lab and COE and build assets that can be used to achieve differentiation and drive business growth. Contribute to creation and launch of Go-to-Market campaigns in various markets across the globe.
  • This position reports into the BU Capabilities Leader.

Required Skills

  • At least 16- 18 years of Delivery experience in Microsoft or related technologies.
  • Must have had past experience in delivering Microsoft Solutions using technologies like Azure, Dynamics, Sitecore, Active Directory, Systems Centre, Hyper-V Data Centre Virtualization, Exchange Server & Lync.
  • Candidates who worked in Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT services companies are preferred.
  • Should have managed a delivery unit of at least 200 to 500 people with ability to scale.
  • Must have spent at least 4-5 years in customer facing roles at onsite.
  • Exceptional understanding of the Microsoft SharePoint platform with proven ability to design and architect custom enterprise business solutions. Must possess an in depth understanding of the capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010/2013 and MOSS 2007 Platforms; Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and 3.0.
  • Strong management and people skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple engagements with varying sizes and degree of complexity.
  • Expert level knowledge of .NET technologies, C# and ASP.NET
  • Ability to understand sales situations and ability to assist in the development of proposals and statement of work documents.
  • Experience in Financials and Operations management preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and balance seemingly conflicting interests.
  • Architect level Certification on Microsoft Azure (70-534 Beta) or MCSE Certification on .NET and/or SharePoint is desired.
