ERP Cloud: Assessing Readiness and Building the Roadmap

We enjoyed meeting with you at Oracle OpenWorld 2015 during our session “ERP Cloud: Assessing Readiness and Building the Roadmap” by Mike Reddy, Capgemini, VP and North America Oracle Practice Leader.

There is no shortage of evangelists lauding the benefits of moving to the cloud. Moving to cloud ERP has an incredible business case in terms of cost, agility, and capability. However, if that is the end game, what is the path? During the session Mike discussed a strategy for how a company should build its ERP cloud roadmap and that to be successful requires an assessment framework built specifically for cloud ERP.

Every company’s current state and future state is unique and so should be its roadmap – a customized journey built based on an understanding of where it is now, where it wants to go, and what technology best meets the objective. Cloud Procurement Assessment Overview

The Sourcing and Procurement Assessment helps quickly determine the need, fit, benefits, costs and business case for implementing and using Oracle Cloud Procurement.   It can be run in approximately one (1) hour.  The assessment is based on key capabilities, the Maturity Model concept, AS-IS and Goal evaluation, T–shirt sizing and industry benchmarks.

Sample Assessment Output

The Sourcing and Procurement Assessment report includes a quantitative 5-year description of costs and benefits using a process that includes Survey, Maturity, Capabilities, Vision and Business Case. It addresses modules in the Oracle Cloud Procurement suite.

Sourcing & Procurement Maturity Model

The Sourcing & Procurement Maturity Model shows the key capabilities for Sourcing & Procurement for levels 1 through 5. The Sourcing & Procurement Maturity Model plays a key role in the Assessment by providing context for AS-IS and Goal performance.
