Abstract:

APIs can be used to address top CEO priorities, but few board members, senior executives or business leaders understand how. In this session, attendees will learn how to accelerate digital banking transformation by clearly articulating the business value of open APIs to key bank decision makers. This session will elaborate on how, in an API economy, APIs become the revenue generating product and the market becomes global. Revenue generated by the API economy is not, however, derived solely from charging for APIs. Monetization also is spawned through new business opportunities created or enabled by the APIs. In general, the session will cover bringing business and technology teams together to develop a strategic approach for an API ecosystem; API identification and prioritization; API roadmap / portfolio management and the architecture ecosystem for APIs.
