Capgemini inaugurates new campus in Navi Mumbai

Mumbai, India, April 05, 2016: Capgemini, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services inaugurated a new campus today at Airoli in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The campus was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Mr. Paul Hermelin, Chairman and CEO, Capgemini in the presence of Srinivas Kandula, CEO, Capgemini India, Yves Perrin, Consul General of France in Mumbai and members of the Capgemini India Leadership team.       

The new campus, spread across 50 acres, will have a built-up area of 3 million sq. ft and will seat 30,000 employees. The first phase of the campus with a built-up area of 1 million sq. ft. and seating capacity of about 13,000 is operational, while the second phase is expected to be completed by early 2018.

The campus will offer an array of service offerings including Application Services, Digital Services, and Infrastructure Services. These services will be delivered to Capgemini’s global customers based in US and Europe from across different industry verticals such as consumer products, retail, financial services, manufacturing and automotive. The facility houses a Client Experience Centre (CEC), which brings together the different capabilities of businesses and sectors that Capgemini serves. It also has a state-of-the-art Applied Innovation Exchange (AIE) in India, which provides physical space for immersive experiences, collaboration, prototyping and testing. The AIE in Mumbai is designed to work seamlessly with eight other Applied Innovation Exchanges across locations including San Francisco, London, Lillie, Utrecht, Munich, Paris, Toulouse, and Melbourne. Located in the Client Experience Center, the Mumbai AIE hosts solutions developed by Centres of Excellence across Retail, Manufacturing, Automotive, and Energy & Utilities.
