For those watching the IT industry’s fortunes with bated breath, results of IT majors across the world seem to offer some hope. Capgemini, the Paris-headquartered IT Services major, said last week that “although the impact of the global economic crisis on demand of IT is not erased,” the market in which the company operates has stabilized and is “reflected by steadily improving activity levels”. Announcing its numbers for the first half (H1) of the 2010 calendar ended June, it said that its H1 revenues dropped 3.8 per cent compared with H1 2009 but rose 5.4 per cent on the immediately previous half year. Paul Hermalin, Vice President and Group CEO, Capgemini spoke to eWorld.
